There’s a great opportunity we’d like you and your young people to know about. Symbiosis International is organising an event called The Great Aussie Rickshaw Ride to promote the message that global poverty is achievable through people powered change. The ride covers over 2000 kms starting from Eumundi and travelling down the East coast of Australia ending in Tasmania. Basically it’s a relay ride with pairs of riders doing about 10 km sections of the ride.
The Ride starts in Eumundi on 14 July and then wanders down to Evandale (Tasmania) over the next couple of months. The schedule of travels in SE Qld is:
14/7 Wednesday Eumundi to Nambour
15/7 Thursday Nambour to Caboolture
16/7 Friday Caboolture to Brisbane - arrival event at Queen Street Mall
17/7 Saturday Southbank - Involves rickshaw rides at Southbank
19/7 Monday Gateway to Nerang
20/7 Nerang to Coolangatta.
